Engagement Starts With You
Wednesday, April 27th, 2011Every week I have the privilege of working with leaders from numerous industries as they work to build a culture of employee engagement. Some leaders are exceptional at creating a work environment where employees want to be. Other leaders struggle to determine their contribution to employee engagement.
You may be working for someone who just doesn’t get it … someone who may even add to a culture of disengagement. Remember, you need to focus on what you can control. And in the employee engagement equation, the only thing you can control is yourself. Never forget that enagement starts with you.
My friends at jobing.com conducted an interview in Arizona and captured the following clip where I address this point. Remember, focus on what you can control.
